Having significant wealth brings unique needs associated with the accumulation, management and distribution of your financial resources. Legacy planning is a process and we begin by focusing on what you value rather than simply the value of what you own. While legal documents and financial statements are a necessary part of the planning process, they are not where we begin.
Introduction and Engagement
We take the time to get to know you and understand what you want to accomplish from your planning process. We get to learn more about what you value and what securing your legacy means to you. At the same time, you get to know who we are, what we do, how we do it and whether we might be a good fit for you.
Discovery and Analysis
Once you have formally engaged us, our goal is to get a clear picture of where you are currently – financially, legally, familywise and emotionally. This starts by understanding what values will drive your decisions, establishing your goals and objectives and evaluating what may be involved in ensuring that you secure your legacy. At this time, we do a thorough analysis of what you have, how and where it is owned, as well as evaluating every component of your financial, legal, asset protection and estate plan. We identify hidden dangers and opportunities in your current plan and work closely to articulate clear goals for every major facet of your plan.
Architecture and Design
Based on your unique situation, values, goals and objectives, we craft a custom-designed plan to meet your needs and secure your legacy. During this process we will act as the quarterback of your planning team, collaborating as necessary with your other advisors (CPA, attorney, trustee, etc.) to incorporate the most innovative solutions. Before we do any implementation, we deliver a blueprint to you to serve as the foundation for all current and future planning decisions.
Implementation and Deployment
Once the blueprint is agreed upon, we execute the plan. This may involve the deployment of the investment allocation, the acquisition of any needed insurance vehicles, and the drafting and executing of legal documents. We take responsibility for ensuring that both our internal team as well as your outside professionals complete their roles, so you can focus on the things that matter most to you.
Our work has only just begun after creating and implementing your legacy plan. Your situation, the economy, tax laws and financial markets will certainly change over time. Our job is to stay abreast of changes and make sure your plan is accomplishing the objectives. We are proactive regarding any changes that could impact your plan and coordinate with you and your other trusted advisors to adjust as necessary.
